How do I apply for a return of my spent report?

If you believe you qualify to have a spent report returned to your account, this guide will walk you through the process – when to apply, how to submit your request, and what to do if you receive a no-findings report.

When can you apply for a refund?

You can request a report return within 30 days of using the report if:

  • There are errors or discrepancies in the report
  • You have not received a report
  • Other legitimate reasons

Important: Report return requests will not be accepted after 30 days from when the report was used. For full details, please refer to our Refund Policy.

How to request the return of your spent report

To request a refund, follow these steps:

1. Contact our support team by filling out the Contact Form.

2. Provide the VIN number you checked, the date of purchase, and a brief explanation of the issue.

3. Our team will review your request and notify you of the outcome.

Automatically returned (unused) reports will remain active in your account for 6 months from the date they’re added to your account.

No-findings reports: Automatic refunds

If your report contains no historical data, we’ll automatically add a new unused report to your account. You do not need to submit a refund request in this case.

Automatically returned reports will remain active in your account for 6 months from the date they were purchased. During this period, you can use these returned reports to check the history of any other vehicle.
