License plate car history checks now available in your carVertical user area

We believe there’s always room to improve – especially when it comes to making user experience smoother and more intuitive. And today, we’re excited to introduce a long-awaited update that many of you have been asking for: you can now check a car’s history by entering its license plate (registration) number directly in the user area!

Afraid of buying a wreck?
Check any VIN to learn a vehicle's history!
No more switching tabs or jumping back to the homepage
Previously, to check a vehicle by its license plate number, you had to leave the user zone and head to the homepage. Not the worst thing in the world, but let’s be honest – it wasn’t the most convenient either.
Now? That’s all in the past. With this update, you can stay right where you are in your user area and get straight to what matters: checking a car’s history in seconds.
Why use a license plate instead of a VIN to check a car’s history?
While the VIN is still a reliable and detailed way to check a car, typing in a 17-character VIN every time can get tedious – especially if you're checking multiple vehicles. Using a license plate is just faster and easier. It’s perfect for dealers, businesses, or anyone doing a deep dive on several vehicles.
Here’s how it works:
1.Go to the My reports section at the top of the user zone.
2.Click the REG tab.
3.Enter the license plate numbers you want to check.
4.Click Get reports.

And that’s it! You can enter up to 10 REG numbers at once, which saves even more time when checking multiple vehicles.
