Report Return Policy
carVertical always aims to provide the most complete and accurate available information about any vehicle. However, we understand that sometimes the report may not meet your expectations. This Report Return Policy outlines the conditions under which you may request a return of your spent report.
No-findings reports: Automatic returns
If a report you generated contains no historical data (typically in the Odometer, Damage, and Timeline sections), it is considered a “no-findings report.” In this case, an unused report will automatically be added to your account.
This process is instantaneous, and the automatically returned reports remain active in your account for 6 months from the purchase date and can be used to check another vehicle.
Requesting a report return
If the report you have generated is not a no-findings report (and was therefore not returned to you automatically), you may still request a return under the following conditions:
- There are errors or discrepancies in the report
- You have not received a report
- Other legitimate circumstances
To be eligible, your request must be made within 30 days of generating the report. Requests submitted after this period will not be accepted.
How to request a return

- Provide the VIN number you checked, the date of purchase, and a brief explanation of the issue.
- Our team will review your request and notify you of the outcome.
