The Timeline section in a carVertical report shows all vehicle-related events in chronological order. Put simply, this section provides a clear overview of everything that has happened to the car since it rolled off the assembly line (based on data availability).
The Timeline section summarizes information that is already included in the report, along with additional administrative types of events. It begins with the oldest entry – typically the manufacturing date – and ends with the most recent.
Depending on data availability, this section may include the following information:
Each timeline entry generally includes the date of an event, where it was recorded, event type, and description.
The vehicle’s timeline may appear incomplete if certain service providers or owners did not document specific vehicle-related events, so they aren’t available in official databases. Gaps can also occur depending on location, as some data may not be available in certain countries.
The Timeline section can help:
1.Identify key events, such as past ownership, inspections, and accident records
2.Easily track changes during the vehicle’s lifespan
3.Spot patterns in history
Overall, this overview allows you to assess the car’s condition, verify its maintenance, and spot any potential issues, helping you make a more informed purchase decision.
